About

I'm just your typical intellectual redhead going through a late-teen crisis.  2020 started off great, and in many ways the pandemic was a blessing in disguise.  I was able to pare down distractions, get better at my job, and solidify a pretty great friend group at my home through good ol' classic hospitality and the new availability of time.

But in September, trouble arrived in the common form of romance going down the tubes.  Instead of eating chocolate and watching sad movies like a rational person, I've decided to take off work for two weeks and drive off by myself to who knows where.

But when I'm not making impulsive, emotion-driven decisions, I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, reading, and thinking way too hard about things that should be simple.

I have very strong stances on several unimportant subjects, so I'm going to list those here:

Screened-in porches:  I'm against them.  Either go inside or go outside, don't compromise.

Tablecloths:  Love them.  They can make or break the look of any dining room.

Arranged marriages:  Sadly, frowned upon in today's culture.  But I'm all for them!

Alan Jackson's 1999 CMA performance:  This is one of my all-time favorite moments in country music history.  His face at the end kills me.

So there you go.  I've just spent 212 words trying to give you a picture of what I know perfectly well won't be clear until I start singing.  All I ask is that you stick around to find out.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
And he adds no sorrow with it.

Proverbs 10:22
